SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
At Alsteca, we want your new eyewear to reach you as quickly and safely as possible. For this reason, we partner with the finest domestic and international express couriers.
Below you will find all the information regarding shipping methods, times, and costs.
1. Shipping Costs and Destinations
Exact shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the destination Country. We have structured our rates to ensure you always receive the best possible service:
- Italy: Shipping is always free, with no minimum purchase required.
- Europe (EU): Shipping is free for orders of €150 or more. For orders below this amount, the cost will be calculated at checkout.
- Non-EU Countries / Rest of the World: For international shipments outside the European Union, a variable shipping contribution is required, which is calculated at checkout based on the delivery address.
Note for Non-EU countries: Any customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees dynamic to the regulations of the destination Country are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
2. Order Processing Times
Fast Dispatch: All orders are processed and handed over to the courier on the next business day following order confirmation.
Weekends and Holidays: Orders placed over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) or on public holidays will be processed starting from the very next business day.
3. Delivery Times
Once the package is handed over to the express courier, the estimated delivery times are:
- Italy: 2-3 business days to most locations. (Please allow an additional 1-2 business days for islands or remote areas).
- Europe and International: 3-5 business days, depending on the destination Country and any customs clearance procedures.
4. Our Couriers
We do not use a single carrier. To guarantee the most efficient and rapid service, we select the best express courier based on your specific delivery location (e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS, BRT, GLS).
5. Shipment Tracking
As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email or Whatsapp containing the tracking link and code (Tracking Code). You can use this link to monitor the status of your delivery in real time directly on the designated courier's website.
6. Failed Delivery and Availability
The courier will make an initial delivery attempt to the address provided during checkout.
If you are not present, depending on the carrier and the location, the courier will either attempt a second delivery on the next business day or drop off the package at the nearest pickup point (Access Point / Parcel Shop).
We recommend providing a shipping address where someone is always available to receive the package (e.g., your workplace) and ensuring that the name on the doorbell/intercom matches exactly the name provided for delivery.
7. Inspecting the Package upon Delivery
Upon delivery by the courier, we kindly ask you to check that:
- The number of packages matches what is indicated on the transport document.
- The packaging is intact, undamaged, not wet, or altered in any way.
If you notice any visible damage or anomalies on the box, please accept the package by signing "received subject to inspection" (stating the reason, e.g., "received subject to inspection due to crushed box") or refuse it, immediately reporting the issue to our Customer Service at info@alsteca.it.
